On the Water, Nov. 2010

These pictures were taken by Dennis Lee. He did a kayak trip on the Patuxent River Water Trail in early November and camped at two sites just south of our Park. He said he usually only sees one eagle a year and this one was the closest!

The Nest

The eagle nest at Patuxent River Park was MT when seen a few times today. It's deceptive from the road as the top, right has a few branches that look like an eagle's back with it's head down. There are still some big leaves, but you can look between some branches.
