Creepy Inspirations!

Our outside guest, Spyder, was the model for a Halloween decoration!
He also took center stage in an educational, but lighthearted exhibit in the Visitors' Center at the Park.
EEWWIIEESS can be a little creepy anytime of year, especially when stalking a house!!

Eagle in Winter '07

Here's a faraway picture of eagle who found a perch in the River.

Young buck at Chelsea Office.
Uh oh! Have Wally and the Beav been here? This is the creek from the marshy area with the eagle's nest at Patuxent River Park. This is close to the entrance road.
This is looking upstream at the open marsh area that was created several years ago by beavers! The creek runs along the treeline toward the left and back of this picture. Now you know why nest pics are usually blurry! (Need Bob's camera!)

Not a quality shot, but think it is identifiable.
Double-crested cormorant resting in the River.

National Harbor in MD, 10-1-08

One of the streets with some unusual posts.
Metal eagle sculptures!!
View from Hotel shows the Wilson Bridge in the background. The green mound of trees at the right end of the bridge (behind the NH banner) is where George and the late Martha had their nest for a few years.
This unusual sculpture is called "The Awakening". It had been at Hains Point in D.C. for several years and was just relocated to Nat'l Harbor.
