Patuxent River channel is flowing, but Jug Bay is frozen!

Winterberry ready for avian holiday guests. Last January, most of the berries were eaten by flocks of cedar waxwings.
Pileated woodpecker. Not the perfect pics, as it was getting dark & taken through windshield of car.

This summer at home, we saw Dad downy woodpecker feeding Baby Boy.

Little chickadee stopped by the Park feeder for a sunflower seed.

His beak is so small, that he holds the seed with his foot and bangs on it until it opens.

This young hawk has been visiting our neighborhood since this summer.

There's a bird feeder below on the tree trunk, but no one showed up for lunch!
