Park Pics 11-22-08

Patuxent River channel is flowing, but Jug Bay is frozen!
Winterberry ready for avian holiday guests. Last January, most of the berries were eaten by flocks of cedar waxwings.
Pileated woodpecker. Not the perfect pics, as it was getting dark & taken through windshield of car.

This summer at home, we saw Dad downy woodpecker feeding Baby Boy.

Great pictures, as always.

Love watching the pileated woody, looks like their head should fall off while hammering away for insects :)
