Large lunch!! I watched a great white egret once downing a fish. Eventually you see a bulge in the neck!..
That rascally hummer boy will not pose in the sun so we can see his lovely red throat!...

Planted 2 lavendars from the PA Farm two years ago in a small spot next to front azaleas. They went bonkers this year.....
Back corner has celosia & my fave blue ballon flowers w/ tomato plants & petunias in front.....

The bridge to nowhere! Near the end of the farm road past the barn is this lovely structure over a creek gully. It extends to a main road, but is still blocked (thank goodness). It was supposed to be an extra entrance road to camping area in Regional Park adjacent to the back farm fields, but road has not been continued yet. Holding our breath.....
On either side of the railing, you can see pawpaw trees! Just starting to have fruit. No wonder we have so many zebra swallowtails!
The grandfather , Mr. Buchheister, of Peter B. who sold the farmhouse office to Park and Planning, purchased the old mansion after the Berry's left.

Side of house years ago---across from barn. Once when walking up the dirt road toward this house, a whirring sound was heard behind us. Could it be a glider? No! A vulture was flying overhead, went across the field, made a U-turn & landed in top window!
One of the more interesting items we could see was this damaged piano. Recently learned from Peter B. that it belonged to his aunt. His wife would have loved to have it in their house, but aunt said no & stored it here. What a waste.....

This morning saw through the window a baby girl on top of suet with parent....
Went outside and it was Dad feeding the little chub......

A female yellow-throated warbler was flitting around in a small tree....
The male was jumping on the ground....
We got a better view when he flew up to a tree....
