Deer at Chelsea Office
A single "Spotty" came by before noon, nibbled some leaves, then called out for some company!

Santorini Island, Greece
Very first view of the volcano center or caldera. I stayed with luggage while family searched for registrar at Blue Dolphins. Finding room entails going down stone or cement stairs (way down to left of sign), turn right, go up 2 small sets of stairs, 2 more rights and then up 2 more sets of stairs to our apartment! I have no knees left.
Santorini Sunset +
This was viewed from one of the balconies in our apartment looking in the opposite direction from the "neighborhood" sites in the previous set.
June 2 - 8:24PM
8:26PM...
Almost gone at 8:31PM... P.S. None of these pictures have been enhanced---straight from the camera.
Red Beach. There's a path to climb down on the right side. If you enlarge, might see some people. Didn't take pics of part of beach right below us, as some were not wearing all of their swimsuits.
Black Beach. This one is sand. Unfortunately, we went to another that's larger with a beautiful Stone block "boardwalk", but entire beach is black pebbles.+BlksandBch.jpg)

More Feathered Friends
"The Days of Our Flickers" seems to be on hiatus. This is the last picture. The starlings and grackles had been interrupting the occupancy by the flickers. Suet and other items were removed from the yard and the perps did leave the property, however, so did the flickers. Might have to tune in same place, next year. :>(
Hooray! About a week ago, domestic duties started to be performed by TWO robins--surprise, surprise. Looks like at least two for the robin nest...
It has been a strange year at this wren house. Mr. Twitterbox has been trying to entice a lady friend there, off and on since May! Last week, he even did some very loud concerts one night from Inside the house! Perhaps it worked---he does have a friend coming around since that evening date & she's been adding a little fluff to the nest. Perhaps another saga will begin!Friday, July 3, 2009
"Look, Ma! No Feet on the Ground!" 6-30-09
This is the osprey nest now in our cam. In the late afternoon, this looks like an adult! Did someone fledge??
Earlier in the day we saw this chick on the cam nest wingercising. It got scary!

Some Flora and Fauna
A fluttery Tiger Swallowtail on buttonbush which grows in the marsh.
Mystery Bird Along the River
This bird was right off the boardwalk, but when first seen was a side view and the belly was light yellow. Perhaps it's a juvenile as it has some multi-color mottling on it's upper back. Was about 6". Didn't have wing bars, eye ring, pointed head, so that rules out vireo, gnatcatcher, or flycatcher. Any ideas?
