That's a lot of birds, Loretta! Great filming! I have seen the same thing in recent days....at a farm! I thought maybe they were cowbirds, but too high to get a look. Maybe they were really grackles, too!
We have had hoards of the black birds here, too, and ours may very well have been grackles, too. They land in the trees in the woods and would stay a day or two, if I didn't bang the metal trash can lids together. They get into our feeders and suet and make it disappear in a short amount of time. Sometimes, Gene has to fire the gun to make them leave.
